In Ommadi folklore, it's told that the Old Mother planted the first tree on summer solstice, far up in the hills near the source of the Jayaenglar River. Though that tree has long since withered, they say Mother's daughter-- Ordha, the angel of mirth and good fortune-- looks down from its highest branch and blesses those who leave offerings on the anniversary of its planting.

I always sort of wish I could touch the texture of your paintings, it looks like it would be very luxurious. xP Your colors are amazing as usual, I could stare at them forever.

One of the drawbacks of digital painting, I'm afraid... no texture exists. :giggle:

And thanks.

I love her outfit--how many shades of grey did you use for that cloth (or something) around her waist? I've been meaning to get an effect like that with my own art. And her wings are so pretty~

Thanks. And hm, I don't see them as grey shades... they are less saturated than the other colors in the piece, but to me the highlights are sort of a yellow/gold tone, the midtones greenish or brownish and the shadows purple/blue... But there's no method to my madness there-- I kinda just mixed colors together until I liked how they looked.

I know that's tremendously unhelpful, but I'm not really up on my color theory.
